The team tied for the worst record in the league, so it's safe to say that head coach Aaron Glenn is coaching for his life in 2026. So, what was Glenn's plan to turn the ship around? Reuniting with old friend Geno Smith to hopefully stabilize the quarterback position.

Smith was selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Jets . Smith lasted four seasons with the Jets, but largely disappointed, and ended up moving on to being a backup for a few different teams after his tenure ended. However, Smith's career was rejuvenated when he landed with the Seattle Seahawks .

Smith won Comeback Player of the Year in 2022, and earned Pro Bowl selections in 2022 and 2023. Unfortunately, the quarterback has yet to replicate the production from those seasons, as 2024 and 2025 were very disappointing. Can Smith figure it out again in his original NFL home?
