New York Giants WR Darnell Mooney was blunt when asked what his role will be in 2026: "Make plays and dominate."

The New York Giants signed wide receiver Darnell Mooney to a one-year deal this offseason. Mooney has been a solid contributor throughout his time with both the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons. The veteran wideout signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Giants in March and is expected to compete for a role alongside Calvin Austin III and rookie Malachi Fields.

Following the team's third practice of organized team activities (OTAs) on Thursday, Mooney addressed the role he expects to play in the Giantsโ€™ offense during his first season in New York. The veteran made his goals for the 2026 campaign clear. "My role is to make plays and dominate," he said.

Mooney recorded 1,435 yards and six touchdowns across two seasons with the Falcons. He could quickly emerge as a top option for quarterback Jaxon Dart in his sophomore campaign, having proven himself to be an explosive yet reliable wide receiver over his six-year career. "Very, very good things.

All great things," Mooney said of his impressions of Dart. "(Did) some work during the (spring), so very catchable ball. Friendly to the receivers, you know.
