'Unreal' moment Aston Villa podcasters meet Prince William

Podcasters Dan Rolinson and Mat Kendrick described the moment they met the Prince of Wales [Claret & Blue] The Prince of Wales revealed to the hosts of an Aston Villa fan podcast that he had watched their shows as they were among fans celebrating the team's Europa League victory in Istanbul. The prince, who is a passionate Villa supporter, was at the Tupras Stadium for their 3-0 win over German side Freiberg on Wednesday, erupting into cheers at the final whistle. Also there were Mat Kendrick and Dan Rolinson, who host the Claret & Blue Podcast.

In their latest edition they described him calling them over by name after the match. Kendrick said the pair had been encouraged to "come here and have a chat" and "scrambled over seats" to meet Prince William in the directors' box. In the episode, which was filmed and posted on YouTube, Kendrick said he made eye contact with the prince while talking with fans after the end of the game.

He added that the prince said "Mat, Dan" as he asked them to come and meet him a few rows higher in the stands. Rolinson, from Kidderminster, started recording a video as the prince and Kendrick shared a hug, with the prince saying "what an amazing night, uh, what an amazing night". Rolinson then asked William how he was feeling, to which he replied: "Good, unbelievable.

It's slightly surreal, this whole thing. " Speaking of the game, the prince then told the pair: "I was expecting a rollercoaster, but, actually, it's gone pretty smoothly, hasn't it? " Asked when he would come on the podcast, the prince told the hosts: "Oh, I've been thinking about it.
