A lot of top performers are extending their stay at Bayern.

22 March 2018, Germany, Munich: Jochen Sauer, manager of the youth training centre of the German Bundesliga soccer club FC Bayern Munich, speaks during an interview with the dpa on the grounds of the FC Bayern Campus. The centre is the athletic home of the A- to F- junior players as well as the women's team of the German record champion. Now that focus on the football is over, end of season planning, such as certain contract renewals, can now begin being finalized. Already, this has resulted in 8 players’ contracts being renewed at the FC Bayern Campus. In a very typical move, the Bavarians elected to forego mention of the length of the contracts, instead simply describing the renewals as ‘long-term’.

Bayern’s official website lists the 8 players: U-17: Goalkeeper Luis Nadler (born September 30, 2009), defenders Afrim Gashi (born January 11, 2009) and Jakob Horvath (born June 24, 2009), midfielder Simon Schaff (born March 3, 2009), and strikers Kuba Horoszczak (born August 21, 2009) and Philipp von Taube (born May 4, 2009). U-19: Winger Oluwaseyi Wilson (born December 5, 2007) and midfielder Leopold Schmid (born February 16, 2008) All of these players are big talents that have proven they have the quality to remain in Munich, but some truly top talents are also on the list. Simon Schaff, Jakob Horvath and Philipp von Taube are held in high regards at Bayern.

The latter was even high profile enough to elicit some attention from BILD . Meanwhile, Oluwaseyi Wilson and Leopold Schmid are slightly different stories. Wilson has had to miss nearly the entire 2025/26 season through injury, making this renewal something of a leap of faith.
