Louisville to open Players Era Festival against Texas Tech

John’s and former U of L head coach Rick Pitino. Here’s the full bracket for the 16-team event: View Link Louisville is 0-2 all-time against Texas Tech, with both losses coming in early season play. In December of 2019, Chris Mack’s top-ranked Cardinals fell to the Red Raiders by 13 (70-57) in New York.
Three years later, Kenny Payne’s first U of L team was embarrassed (70-38) by Tech at the Maui Invitational. Ticket information, game times, television assignments and more details will all be announced at a later date. Over the course of two weeks, all 37 games of the Players Era will be broadcasted on ESPN networks.
