Having the same group in front of you creates continuity and builds cohesion that makes it tough to get to the quarterback. But the Ravens this offseason lost perhaps their most important piece, and that's Tyler Linderbaum. However, while that was bad, what's worse is that Baltimore hasn't replaced him.
And for CBS Sports' Tyler Sullivan, the Ravens' biggest mystery doesn't exactly have the kind of answers Lamar wants. "The Ravens saw Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum leave for the Raiders in free agency, and have yet to truly replace him," Sullivan wrote . "The club didn't make any sizable moves in free agency for a starting center and didn't take one at the NFL Draft, which leaves Danny Pinter, Corey Bullock, Jovaughn Gwyn and Nick Dawkins left duking it out.

They help set the protection, identify what the defense is trying to do, and help protect their quarterback. So having a veteran at that position is ideal, but the Ravens, at least right now, won't.
