Report: Jalen Williams considered day-to-day with latest hamstring injury.
After Jalen Williams' latest hamstring injury clouded the Oklahoma City Thunder 's season-saving Game 2 win over the San Antonio Spurs , we finally received a real update. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that he will be considered day-to-day and game-to-game as he receives daily treatment. It's been a stop-start, injury-plagued year for Williams.
Two wrist surgeries and two hamstring strains limited him to 33 regular-season games. As soon as he strung together momentum, all his progress was derailed early in OKC's NBA playoff journey. In OKC's Game 2 win over the Phoenix Suns , Williams sustained a third hamstring strain ā this time, on his left leg.
The Thunder won six consecutive playoff games. A month later, he returned in their Game 1 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 Western Conference Finals. Alas, that return was short-lived once again.
Williams sustained another hamstring injury on his left leg in OKC's Game 2 win over the Spurs. He exited the first quarter after just seven minutes of play. Now, we'll see when and if the 25-year-old can return to their NBA playoff run as time is running out in this every-other-day series.
