Shazier was seen assisting Pittsburgh’s scouts in 2018 , and he later made the move to coaching, contributing as a Steelers intern on offense in 2024.

Then, in 2025, he moved to his current role: an alumni relations assistant, as listed on Steelers. com. “It’s really fun to catch up with some of the former players and also still be involved in the organization,” Shazier said in a May 8 interview with Kyle Odegard .

“I still live in Pittsburgh, and it really runs through my blood. To be able to still be a part of the organization and try to help us win another Lombardi in whatever aspect they ask me to do, I try my best. I try to raise awareness around the brand.

” Shazier said his new role is a better fit for him. “The on-field stuff is amazing, and I really did enjoy it,” he said. “But a better fit for me and where I’m at in my life is more of the off-field stuff, being more engaging with the fans, the sponsors.
