Liverpool star gives green light to surprise Fenerbahce move Mohamed Salah ’s final game at Anfield has arrived. The Egyptian King has been a talisman in Merseyside for close to a decade, but he will play his football somewhere else next season. Since the 33-year-old announced his decision to leave the club at the end of March speculation has been rife as to where he may end up.

Rumours of a Saudi Pro League move have swirled, but several European clubs are also interested and are planning ambitious moves to secure Salah’s signature. It appears Salah is open to staying in Europe, and he may have given the green light on a move to the Turkish Super Lig. Fenerbahce get Mo Salah green light One of the European clubs linked with Salah is Fenerbahce, who recently finished second in the league, just three points behind champions Galatasaray.

The Turkish side have reportedly made an informal offer to Salah, who is looking to earn €12-13 million (~£11m) a year to stay in Europe – a significant drop from his current Liverpool wage. That’s according to a report from Caughtoffside , who claim that the forward has given the green light to Fernebahce and is open to the move. The report also claims that the forward remains very ambitious when thinking about his next career move, and that he is reluctant about a Saudi switch at this stage in his career.

Salah hasn’t completely ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia though and that the player is yet to make the decision on where his future lies. Fenerbahce represent an interesting option for the Egyptian, allowing him to remain at a decent level and continue playing in European competition, but there is also plenty of interest from Italy – where Salah played before he joined Liverpool. Salah will have a big decision to make soon, but for now all of his focus will be on ensuring he has a good farewell against Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
