North Oconee girls golf was crowned a six-time state champion in the GHSA Class 4A golf state championships on May 19. Here's how the whole tournament went.

North Oconee girls golf claimed its sixth straight state championship on May 19. The Titans trumped the Class 4A competition with a combined final score of 488, posting a 243 in round one and a 245 in round two. They won by a margin of nearly 30, as second place posted 504.

The Titans had four girls post individual scores within the top 10, including Kyler Hammond in fourth place with a score of 159, Hailey Moffett in seventh with a score of 167, Lily Hinzman in eighth with a score of 168 and Olivia Weaver in a three-way tie for ninth with a score of 169. As for the rest of the girls tournament: In Class 4A, Madison County followed the Titans with a fourth-place finish, posting a combined final score of 516. The Red Raiders had two girls in the top 10, including Carlee Brown in sixth place with a score of 165 and Brooke Porterfield as part of that three-way tie for ninth.

In Class 3A, Jefferson earned a share of the runner-up crown alongside Southeast Bulloch with a combined final score of 362 — Calhoun took home first on a three-point differential. The Dragons had two girls in the top 10, including Toribeth Condon in sixth place with a score of 178 and Addison Taylor in a four-way tie for ninth with a score of 184. In Class A-Division 1, Commerce finished in ninth place with a combined final score of 415, and within the private classifications, Athens Academy snagged second with a combined final score of 296 while Prince Avenue Christian finished sixth with a combined final score of 360.

Spartans' Kathryn Deloach finished first-overall in the individual private competition with a score of 135. As for the boys tournament: In Class 5A, Jackson County finished in ninth place with a combined final score of 625. In Class 4A, North Oconee earned the runner-up crown with a combined final score of 600.
