Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb has perfect comeback for Giants HC John Harbaugh

CeeDee Lamb heard the comments John Harbaugh used to fire up the Giants' fans regarding the teams' rivalry. Lamb's reaction was pure indifference.

CeeDee Lamb heard what John Harbaugh had to say at the Giants ' recent town hall, a shot fired at the Cowboys that had Big Blue's faithful roaring. Lamb's reaction was very different. Indifferent , even.

The veteran head coach, in his first season with the Giants, made waves this week (at least within his own team's fanbase) while answering a question about the club's woes over the past several seasons against their divisional opponents. "I could care less about what’s happened last year, or the year before that, or ten years before that," Harbaugh said, in part. "If tomorrow’s practice is the way it’s supposed to be, that’ll be one more step in the direction of being a good enough football team to kick the Cowboys’ ass.

” Lamb, the five-time Pro Bowler, shared a clip of that quote on his Instagram stories and then included his own thoughts, which were, to be sure, short and sweet. "lol that's cute," Lamb wrote. Lamb is pretty justified in his casual dismissal of Harbaugh's brash talk and buildup.

Since joining the Cowboys in 2020, Lamb personally has gone 10-2 in head-to-head matchups with the New York rivals and has logged- by far- more receptions and receiving yards against the Giants than any other team in the NFL. On the whole, Dallas has won 16 of the last 18 meetings with the Giants; both Cowboys losses were in meaningless season-ending games. But thanks to the lip service being paid by both sides nearly four months in advance, the Week 1 opener between the Cowboys and Giants is already shaping up to be spicier than in years past.
