BOSTON (May 21, 2026) – NESN, New England’s premier sports network, will again turn its camera to Fenway Park’s most famous feature with the return of “Monster Week” during the Red Sox-Braves series from May 26-28.
NESN’s wall-to-wall coverage will showcase the 37’ 2” Green Monster with a full game broadcast from atop the wall, exclusive camera angles, live reporting from inside the structure, and Monster-focused features and interviews. Dave O’Brien, Lou Merloni, and Kevin Millar will open “Monster Week” on Tuesday, May 26 with a live game broadcast from the top of the Green Monster. The week also will feature special “Monster” editions of Boston has Entered the Chat, 310 to Left, Batting Practice, Unobstructed Views, and Multiview.
“For us, ‘Monster Week’ is about leaning into one of the best storytelling stages in baseball, and last year’s response made it clear fans wanted more,” said Matt Volk, COO at NESN. “There’s an incredible amount of rich history wrapped up in the Green Monster, and we’re excited to spend another week exploring it from every angle. ” The themed week extends NESN’s run of special broadcast experiences, which last year included the inaugural Monster Week and a 1975 retro night, with vintage graphics and throwback elements celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Red Sox-Reds World Series.
WHAT: From May 26-28, “Monster Week” will spotlight the iconic Green Monster with: A full game broadcast live from atop the wall Live reports from inside and atop the Monster Themed episodes of Boston Has Entered the Chat, Unobstructed Views, and Multiview WHEN: Tuesday, May 26 NESN’s Green Monster Game will feature O’Brien, Merloni, and Millar broadcasting live atop the Green Monster, with Jahmai Webster reporting from inside and atop the wall. A Multiview broadcast with a dedicated Green Monster camera angle will air on NESN+ and NESN 360. Wednesday, May 27 Boston Has Entered the Chat, NESN’s daily conversational sports debate show, becomes “Batting Practice Has Entered the Chat,” with special field access featuring a live Monster-themed segment with Red Sox personnel and NESN talent.
