Crochet hasnโ€™t pitched in the big leagues since April 25 due to shoulder inflammation. However, he is getting closer to a return as he has since started to throw off a mound. With Crochet back throwing, the key for the left-hander is to get his mechanics back, which he said is just a feeling thing.

"It's just a specific feel,โ€ said Crochet. โ€œItโ€™s a lot of timing in the delivery. I feel like I've been trying to hit a certain amount of checkpoints in my delivery, and I've kind of got way too much going on.

Right now, just trying to simplify it, create a good foundation from the first move of my delivery, and then just let the arm follow along. โ€ Although Crochet is throwing, he likely wonโ€™t be activated until the first or second week of June. Itโ€™s been a longer stay on the IL than Crochet had hoped, which is disappointing for the Red Soxโ€™s ace.
