Steelers updated starting offense: OTAs edition
Through several OTA practices, we've updated our projection for the Steelers starting offense.
Through several days of OTAs, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been hard at work in getting the offense on track after a disappointing 2025 season. New head coach Mike McCarthy has his quarterback in Aaron Rodgers but aside from that, there is plenty of shuffling going on in the early goings. Here is our updated Week One starting offensive projection: Quarterback - Aaron Rodgers Running back - Rico Dowdle Wide receiver - DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr.
, Germie Bernard Tight end - Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington Left tackle - Troy Fautanu Left guard - Mason McCormick Center - Zach Frazier Right guard - Spencer Anderson Right tackle - Max Iheanachor The big changes here are on the offensive line. We love the idea of moving Mason McCormick to the left with Troy Fautanu and keeping that combo together. It does mean the team has a whole new right side but Spencer Anderson is a veteran and can help rookie Max Iheanachor.
We also swapped out Jaylen Warren for Rico Dowdle in the starting lineup. This doesn't mean we don't think Warren will be left out in the rotation but Dowdle is McCarthy's guy, and he was brought in because he fits his offense. Warren was a favorite of Mike Tomlin and might find himself in more of a reserve role this season.
