The Red Sox’s No. 6 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, Jake Bennett, made a start in Triple-A on Wednesday and dominated as he recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts. He finished the game going five innings, allowing one run on seven hits, and 11 strikeouts.
It was another stellar outing from Bennett, as the left-hander is now 2-2 with a 1. 84 ERA in seven starts. Bennett has gotten onto the Red Sox’s radar, as he made two starts earlier this year in the MLB, going 1-1 with a 4.
35 ERA over 10. 1 innings. If Bennett can continue to have success in Triple-A, he will give Boston some more starting pitching depth and another left-hander in the system.
