Eagles' Nolan Smith Jr. arrested for allegedly driving 135 mph in Georgia
Smith was clocked at that speed in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 16 in Twiggs County, Georgia.

Cooper Neill via Getty Images Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nolan Smith Jr. was arrested Friday on charges of speeding and reckless driving in Georgia, the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to ESPN . The 25-year-old Smith was clocked at 135 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 16 in Twiggs County, Georgia.
After being booked into county jail, he was bonded out and a future court date was issued. The Georgia Gazette was first to report Smith’s arrest. Smith was the Eagles' first-round draft pick in 2023 out of Georgia.
He has played 45 NFL games during his first three seasons in the league and was part of the franchise's Super Bowl LIX winning team. Last season, Smith played 12 games and recorded 31 total tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble with the Eagles, who begin OTAs on Thursday.
