And if a game is played at the right time, late afternoon or early evening, the sun shines right on through. It creates quite the tricky effect for the players on the field, and it also makes broadcasting the games a bit tougher. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has refused to do anything about that sun effect for NFL games, something that his star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has complained about in the past.
But for the FIFA World Cup? Jones apparently is going to come up with a temporary fix. Front Office Sports has reported that Jones is going to use blackout curtains for an early-evening game scheduled to be played in Dallas.
Jerry World is hosting nine World Cup games, making this a huge summer for Jones to showcase his stadium to the world. He evidently wants to make a solid impression.
