Longtime Colorado State softball coach Jen Fisher announces retirement
Colorado State is searching for a new softball coach after Fort Collins native, CSU grad Jen Fisher announces retirement.
Longtime Colorado State softball coach Jen Fisher is retiring. Fisher led the Rams for the last 16 years, leading CSU to the 2019 Mountain West regular season title. The two-time Mountain West Coach of the Year has the most wins in program history with 376.
She announced her retirement on May 20. "The past 16 years coaching the team in my hometown have been incredible. Fort Collins is such a special place to me," Fisher said in a news release.
"I will greatly miss coaching softball and these amazing athletes, as they have allowed me to bring my passion and energy to the field each day. This has kept me young and made me feel as though my job was not really โworkโ but rather a calling. I will also deeply miss all the incredible folks in the department & across campus whom I had the honor of working with each day.
