A co-founder of the AFL and critical to the AFL-NFL merger, Adams owned the Oilers/Titans franchise for 54 years, producing 21 playoff teams, two AFL titles, and an AFC championship. The lack of a Super Bowl title has hurt his cause, and Adams has often been overshadowed by Lamar Hunt in terms of credit for the AFL, but recent momentum suggests Adams could break through in the coming years. Nashville has been awarded the Super Bowl in 2030, and the franchise's first owner could end up enshrined in a similar timeframe.
