As you probably know, the Big Ten and Fox have an issue with that game, arguing that Fox should have the broadcast/streaming rights since it is in a shared territory (Rutgers would theoretically qualify).

Enter Mick Cronin. The UCLA coach says that there is ““No chance it goes through. Not when Fox has paid hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars for the rights.

” Well, Cronin is a fine basketball coach, but he’s not an attorney, and a lot of attorneys have looked at this deal and said it’s in bounds, if you will. We can guarantee you that attorneys from Duke, the ACC, ESPN, and Amazon have all gone over this with a fine-tooth comb. However, if it turns out that the Fox/Big Ten argument holds, there’s an easy answer: just move it to, say, Dallas or Miami.

That would render the shared territory argument moot and there’s not much the Big Ten could do about it. Go to the DBR Boards to find Blue Healer Auctions || Drop us a line
