The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule. "He's just found a little bit of a groove here in the middle of the season and has just dominated," Oyster River head coach Cam Calato. The only outs made in the field were a flyball to left field, a groundball to second, and a pop-up to first base.

Veroneau had complete-game wins against Kingswood (2-0) and Hollis-Brookline (9-2) in his previous two starts. "I think this start was right on par with those two," Calato said. "We roll him out there against these top teams.
