UIL playoffs: 3 Central Texas teams win Game 1 of regional final series
Lake Travis, Rouse and Wimberley all won Game 1 of their high school baseball regional final series in the UIL playoffs.

But whatever it was, it played a big part in Lake Travis’ win over Cedar Ridge in the opener of an all-Austin area Class 6A Division I series at Concordia University. With the Raiders seemingly poised for a big inning, Webb sandwiched a lineout to right field around two strikeouts.
“I really just had to dig deep,” said Webb, who struck out 10 and will play at Texas next year. “I’ve done a lot of mental training over the offseason, and through the years we do a lot of it in the fall. And it came in clutch.
” RBI singles from James Tudor and Nelson Molina highlighted the Cavs’ three-run third, which also included CJ Hansford’s sacrifice fly. Kai Rice tripled and scored on Jake Shoemaker’s sacrifice fly for Cedar Ridge in the bottom of the third, then Paul Hernandez Jr. hit an RBI single in the fourth to bring the Raiders within a run.
