Christoph Freund wants former RB Salzburg colleague Seonbuchner at Bayern Munich
Freund is getting more help from Austria.

Along with a new head of youth development, the Bavarians are looking to add some select employees to fill all the needed roles at the FC Bayern Campus. So why not go to RB Salzburg, former workplace of current sporting director Christoph Freund, to find some talent? According to Salzburg news site “Salzburger Nachrichten” (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ) the Bavarians will plunder the walking advertisement for energy drinks for a former colleague of Freund’s: Former RB Salzburg sporting director Bernhard Seonbuchner is set for a move to FC Bayern, where he’s expected to take over a ‘key role’ at the Campus and also work closely with the first team.
Seonbuchner had replaced Christoph Freund in Salzburg after the latter moved to Bayern, with the pair now set to be reunited in Munich. The Salzburg outlet’s report was backed up by Munich news site Tz, with @iMiaSanMia capturing the additional details on the role the 42-year-old will play in Munich: Christoph Freund is looking to bring his old Salzburg colleague Bernhard Seonbuchner to FC Bayern. The move still needs approval from Salzburg.
In Munich, Seonbuchner is set to help shape the transition between the academy and the first team. The 42-year-old will also be heavily involved with the coaches, he would observe and contribute to the development of the youth teams’ training sessions on a daily basis. Seonbuchner holds a UEFA Pro License.
