Walk-off in extras gives Westmoreland TSSAA softball state tournament win since 1985 Westmoreland stuck around in Murfreesboro a little longer and made some school history thanks to Brooklyn Deplyssler. The standout freshman designated hitter delivered a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 3-2 win over Scotts Hill in the Class 2A losers bracket. It was Westmoreland’s first softball state tournament win since 1985.
