Hall of Fame QB gives thoughts on Kyler Murray with the Vikings
Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon isn't sure that Kyler Murray is going to resurrect his career with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Minnesota Vikings are expecting better quarterback play in 2026. They signed Kyler Murray to compete with J. J.
McCarthy, hoping to raise the floor of the quarterback room and help a passing offense that ranked 29th in yards last season. Many are expecting Murray to run away with the job, but Warren Moon isn't ready to declare him the starter, yet. Moon, a Hall of Fame quarterback who played for the Vikings from 1994 through 1996, said he questions exactly which version of Murray the team will get.
"You just never know what you're going to get from that guy," Moon said on Kay Adams' podcast Up & Adams . "You know,ย he is so dynamic. He makes so many plays that you go, 'wow!
' And then all of a sudden, he goes through phases where he doesn't even look like the same guy. "So I hope coming into this situation, he's re-motivated to show what he can do. You know, he's beenย out of the game for a while with [an] injury.
