Blake Cashman is noticing how Kyler Murray is building relationships with teammates and staff within the Minnesota Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings hope Kyler Murray can improve their on-field production. But his presence off the field is being noticed as well, says Blake Cashman. On Monday, Cashman appeared on The Jim Rome Show and said he's impressed with how Murray has carried himself since arriving in Minnesota.

"Kyler's been very engaged with everybody in the building, from what I've seen, and in our locker room," Cashman said . "[Vikings players] went as a group to a [Minnesota] Wild playoff hockey game and he was there. "I think that's important, especially being a new guy, because you know people you're in a brand new environment working with brand new people, and those relationships haven't formed yet.

But to put yourself out there and get to know your teammates are building those relationships is important to having a good football teams. " Cashman helped the Vikings rank third in yards allowed and seventh in points allowed in 2025. But the offense's struggles led Minnesota to finish 9-8 and miss the playoffs.

Murray has yet to play meaningful snaps, but Cashman likes what he's seen from the quarterback so far. If Murray's play mirrors his off-field behavior at all, the Vikings could have a bounce-back season in 2026.
