Larry Fitzgerald reveals why he believes in Cardinals' Jeremiyah Love
Former Arizona Cardinals teammates Larry Fitzgerald and Tyrann Mathieu discuss Jeremiyah Love and why Fitzgerald knows the type of person he is.
All-time Arizona Cardinals great Larry Fitzgerald is not only sold on new Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love due to the X's and O's. Fitzgerald told his former Cardinals teammate, Tyrann Mathieu, that he has gotten to know Love, who played at Notre Dame, via his son's recruitment. Devin Fitzgerald is signed to Notre Dame's football program as an incoming freshman.
"I've actually got a chance to spend a couple times with him through this recruitment process over the last two years," Fitzgerald explained on the "In The Bayou With Tyrann Mathieu" podcast. "I got out to Notre Dame quite a few times. I talked to the team up there.
Been around and engaged with him a lot. I really, really like the young man. " Fitzgerald compared Love's "football integrity that he has when he's met with very difficult situations" to Mathieu's when the two played together.
Love, the Cardinals' No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, was a Heisman finalist after the 2025 season as well as a consensus All-American.
