Titans hire Dave Gardi to lead football operations

It took a few weeks after Chad Brinker stepped down from his role with the Tennessee Titans for the team to name a replacement, but their search ended Wednesday when they hired Dave Gardi as Executive Vice President, Football Operations. Gardi, who most recently served as Senior Vice President of Football Initiatives with the Washington Commanders , will bring 23 years of NFL experience to the Titans , 21 of which were spent in the NFL league office. He will now take on an expanded role overseeing the Football Administration, Football Strategy and Analytics, Football Research, Football Information Systems, Video, Equipment, Team Operations, and Security, while reporting directly to general manager Mike Borgonzi, a slight change from when Brinker was in place, when he reported directly to owner Amy Adams Strunk.

" Gardi was a college quarterback at Brown, where he earned a political science degree, and later a Doctor of Law degree from Hofstra University. He will now join the Titans and, hopefully, be the final piece of the organizational structure needed to complete this rebuild.
