Justin Jefferson comments on Vikings upcoming QB battle

Yahoo Sports

Justin Jefferson believes the quarterback competition should help the Minnesota Vikings' array of offensive weapons flourish in 2026.

No one on the Minnesota Vikings suffered from the team's poor quarterback play in 2025 more than Justin Jefferson. The star receiver only logged three 100-plus yard games and scored only two touchdowns all season. But Jefferson believes the Vikings have the offensive pieces to be productive.

The key to their success comes down to whoever wins the quarterback competition between Kyler Murray and J. J. McCarthy, he said last week while appearing on SportsCenter.

Just the weapons that we have on the offensive side of the ball. You know, the running back position is very good. The receiver position is very good.

The tight end position is very good. You know, just trying to stack up the O-linemen and get all the healthy bodies that we can to withhold all of the physical work that they go through the entire season. And then, of course, the chess piece, which is the quarterback position.
