Michigan State's hero in a win against Iowa was Ryan McKay, and he spoke to the Big Ten Network following his game winning hit.
Michigan State baseball is moving on to the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals, and the single elimination portion of the Big Ten Tournament after the Spartans defeated Iowa, 4-3. The Spartans were able to defeat the Hawkeyes in part to junior second baseman Ryan McKay's heroics. The Clarkston (MI) native had an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning that proved to be the game winning hit for MSU.
The third year starter has been an integral part of the Spartans program, and despite not having his best year at the plate, he came up clutch when the team needed him most.
