The Kansas City Chiefs have been rather active this offseason after missing the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era in 2025. The franchise has undergone a soft reset if you will, as several starters were allowed to move on, while the Chiefs were very intent on who they wanted to bring in. Headlined by Kenneth Walker and Mansoor Delane, the Chiefs, on both sides of the ball, appear to have at least, gotten a little better, although the secondary is a cause for some concern after losing Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson.

All eyes on Patrick For all of the Chiefs' offseason work, it will all matter for nothing if Mahomes isn't healthy. Coming back from an ACL injury, Mahomes has stated his desire to return for Week 1, a deadline some think isn't wise. But everything we have heard this offseason points to Patrick being ahead of schedule in his recovery, so that will please Chiefs Kingdom.
