The NBA announces that Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe has been named to the All-Rookie First Team.
After a fantastic maiden season in the NBA, it's time for Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe to receive his praise and awards. In 75 games, he averaged 16. 0 points, 5.
6 rebounds, and 4. 2 assists while playing next to premier stars like Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Paul George and he took every opportunity to learn and grow on the court. Edgecombe was a key reason why the Sixers rallied to make the playoffs despite once again dealing with injuries and was a big part of the 3-1 comeback to upset the Boston Celtics in Round 1.
He was electric in every sense of the word and is headed for a strong career as long as he can continue to build off of this type of season. For his work, Edgecombe was named to the All-Rookie First Team alongside Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Dylan Harper, and Cedric Coward.
