Cleveland Browns giving another quarterback on roster an opportunity

The NFL offseason has entered the workout phase as teams prepare for summer training camps. Before long, the preseason will arrive for both teams and fans. The Cleveland Browns have stayed busy this offseason with a new head coach and revamped coaching staff, but the franchise’s biggest question remains at quarterback.

The Browns appear headed for a quarterback competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders for the QB1 role. Head coach Todd Monken has praised Sanders’ work ethic while reportedly remaining high on Watson. Now, Monken is also taking a closer look at another quarterback on the roster.

Gabriel’s place on the team has remained a major question mark, but he now appears to have an opportunity to prove himself. That opportunity gives him a chance to showcase his abilities under the new coaching staff.
