The TSSAA track and field state tournament is on a 30-minute lightning delay. Several lightning strikes in the area forced TSSAA officials to clear the area right before the girls 300-meter dash in Division II-A. There were 18 remaining running events left on Day 2 of the state meet at Tennessee's Tom Black Track.

m. because of the looming weather. In the original schedule, the Class A girls 300 would have started a 7:05 p.
