Yahoo Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. Here's a ranking of their opponents in 2026.

The Chargers ' full schedule was released last week and there's much excitement surrounding the team's 2026 slate of games. The Bolts will have three prime-time games this season, but fans will have to wait until the second half of the season to witness those matchups. The Chargers are looking to earn their first playoff win in the Jim Harbaugh era after finishing the 2025 campaign with 11 wins and reaching the AFC Wild Card round.

They fell short to the Patriots, the eventual AFC representative in the Super Bowl. The pressure is on for the Chargers in 2026, and their strength of schedule is doing them no favors, as the team has the ninth-toughest schedule in the league. Denver Broncos The Broncos enter the 2026 season as arguably the best team in the NFL with quarterback Bo Nix, head coach Sean Payton and their elite defense.

Moreover, the Chargers will face their division rival twice throughout 2026. Seattle Seahawks The Super Bowl champions should also be one of the Bolts' toughest matchups in 2026. Their roster is one of the most complete in the league and Seattle has very few weaknesses across the board.

The Chargers will also take on the Seahawks at Lumen Field. Los Angeles Rams The NFC West is no joke and the Rams will present quite the challenge for the Chargers. Matthew Stafford is coming off an MVP season with head coach Sean McVay at the helm.
