Maxx Crosby injury update: EDGE sidelined to begin Raiders OTA practices

•Sky F1

OTA's have begun in Las Vegas with Maxx Crosby still not practicing as he rehabs from his offseason surgery.

Wednesday is the second day of OTA practices for the Las Vegas Raiders , and the first in which media was in attendance. Early on, one observation was that Maxx Crosby was in attendance, but not practicing with his teammates as he is still recovering from offseason surgery. Still, the Pro Bowl edge rusher was doing what he could, going through warmups and stretches.

com/XUwW810Pfi — Ryan McFadden (@ryanmcfadden_) May 20, 2026 Crosby's injury situation is possibly the most publicized, seemingly minor injury in NFL history. The meniscus cleanup first made news when the Raiders sat him down for the final two games when Crosby insisted he was able to play. Crosby was not happy about this and stormed out of the facility, later positing videos of himself and his kids jumping on the trampoline and playing basketball as a not-so-subtle nod to the league and the fans that he was healthy enough to play.

This unhappiness carried into the offseason and ultimately led to a trade request which the Raiders facilitated that trade with the Baltimore Ravens . Only to have the Ravens play the Raiders and Crosby until they could work a backdoor free agent deal with Trey Hendrickson. They then pulled the old okeedoke, yanking the trade deal at the finish line with Crosby at the Ravens' facility, claiming a failed physical due to the injury which they knew about full well going into it.
