In this advanced age of transportation, it comes as a bit of a surprise that walking played a key role in Nashville being named host of the 2030 Super Bowl. That’s right. It was as simple as putting one foot in front of the other for Music City to land the ultimate sports and entertainment spectacle.
Having a downtown area where many of the Super Bowl events can take place, all within walking distance of each other and close to the new Nissan Stadium and home of the Tennessee Titans, was a critical selling point in the pitch to bring the NFL championship to Nashville. ” The actual Super Bowl game is just one of many aspects of the event expected to bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to Music City. A week-long series of festivities, including award ceremonies, fan experiences, watch parties, concerts, and other forms of entertainment, takes place leading up to the game. Keeping those events in one footprint is beneficial.
” Ivey said. “There’s things to do all around the city and the idea that those things can be done in walking distance is just going to make the experience feel much better. ” Some of the venues expected to host Super Bowl-related events include the Music City Center, Bridgestone Arena, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the Ryman Auditorium.
