Irfan speculates that the likes of Geovany Quenda, who arrives this summer from Sporting, could be used in a versatile winger/wing back role.

It’s a lot to ask from a teenager who has yet to play a Premier League minute, but if he can impress in preseason there’s certainly a role in this squad for him. Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho, hard workers who sometimes lack finesse in the final third, could also be used in similar roles. We’ve seen it before – if your wingers aren’t cutting it in attack, just make them wing backs… In other news… The season is almost over and transfer talk is only going to increase from here, with talk of Atletico Madrid interest in a Blue starting today.
