Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors college students
Six student-athletes from the MIAC earned the Elite 22 Award for excelling in spring sports and maintaining a 4. 0 GPA. St.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) has recognized six student-athletes for their academic and athletic achievements in spring sports. The MIAC Elite 22 Award honors individuals who have excelled both in their sport and in the classroom. The award is given to the student-athlete with the highest grade-point average in each sport, provided they meet specific athletic and academic requirements.
Spring 2026 honorees Carter Sheard , a junior at Bethel, received the award for men's tennis. Sheard went 15-5 at No. 1 singles and is majoring in computer engineering.
Allison Szalay , a senior at Gustavus, was honored in women's tennis. Szalay was undefeated at the fourth and sixth singles positions and posted a 14-3 record at No. 3 doubles.
