Two North Carolina football players, Shanard Clower and Ty Adams, are no longer with the Tar Heels program.
Two North Carolina football players have moved on from the program following the end of spring practice. Wide receiver Shanard Clower and defensive back Ty Adams are no longer with the Tar Heels , Inside Carolina first reported . Clower, projected as a depth option in a receiver group headlined by Jordan Shipp , Nathan Leacock, and Wisconsin transfer Trech Kekahuna, caught 12 passes for 98 yards last season in the nine games he played as a true freshman.
He earned starts against Duke and at California. Adams was one of the few remaining players from the Mack Brown era, was slated to enter his redshirt junior season. He played 26 snaps across six games last season after logging 71 snaps in Brown’s final year at UNC.
