The Miami Dolphins cornerback room contains three key pieces that could help the unit overachieve this upcoming season.

The Miami Dolphins traded an elite defensive back in Jalen Ramsey last season. Then they drafted Chris Johnson with the 27th overall pick in the 2026 NFL raft to address the position of need. This cornerback room is a big question mark right now, and fans across the league are curious to see how the group performs.

As it currently stands, the Dolphins ' primary corner room consists of rookie Chris Johnson, Storm Duck, Marco Wilson, JuJu Brents and Darrell Baker Jr. Baker and Wilson are two experienced veterans who will be good depth for this corner room. Johnson was the second cornerback taken in this yearโ€™s NFL draft and a day-one starter for the Dolphins .

Known for his ball-hawking ability, in his senior year at San Diego State, Johnson recorded four interceptions and nine pass breakups. He's speedy, athletic and has the ability to make an immediate impact on this defense. As an undrafted free agent, Duck had a solid rookie year in 2024, recording 24 total tackles and four pass breakups.

Dolphin fans looked forward to his development, but injuries held him back this past season, as he only appeared in two games. This upcoming season, Duck is expected to start for the Dolphins, but his production is difficult to predict after missing almost all of last season. If he can build on his rookie year, fans can expect this corner room to look much different.
