Haaland clearly wanted Manchester City to finish the job, but he also understood what the moment meant for Odegaard. Odegaard has been central to Arsenal’s rise under Arteta, not only as a creative midfielder but as the captain trusted to front a team that had suffered three straight second-place finishes before finally getting over the line.
