Prep roundup: East Lansing has pair of double winners at CAAC Showcase
The highlights from May 19 contests featuring Greater Lansing teams.
TRACK East Lansing’s Kamden Bigham-Tsai and Grand Ledge’s Jackson Shaltry were each double individual winners at the CAAC Showcase hosted by Lansing Catholic. Bigham-Tsai won the 110 and 300 hurdles and Shaltry won the shot put and discus at the meet featuring athletes from CAAC Blue, Red and White schools. Bigham-Tsai set a personal best in the 110 hurdles with his time of 14.
70, while Shaltry had a personal-best throw in the discus of 176 feet, 2 inches. East Lansing also had a double individual girls winner in freshman Cayla Hawkins, who won both the 100 and 200 dashes. Hawkins had a personal best time of 11.

JOHNS 2 Xavier Sapotichne and Carter Haremski each picked up wins for the Wolves as they secure a nonleague double-header sweep over St. Johns. Keagan Noble and Brett Burak each grabbed two hits, a double and two RBI, James Poletes notched a home run and Ryan Adams added on two RBI for Okemos.
