After a hard year and a new leader, another key person is leaving. This move signals the official end of a famous era. The Dallas Mavericks announced on Tuesday that they mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Jason Kidd.
Kidd coached the team for 5 seasons and led the team to the NBA Finals in 2024. He was also a team champion in 2011. However, the organization is now moving in a new direction under president Masai Ujiri.
"As we evaluate the future of our basketball program, we believe this is the right moment for a new direction for our team," the president said in a statement, as per ESPN .
