According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg , Bayern Munich loanee and VfB Stuttgart starting goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has made the German national team and will be the No. 3 goalkeeper: 🚨✔️ EXCL | Alexander Nübel, nominated for the World Cup. 3 behind Manuel Neuer (1) and Oliver Baumann (2). @SkySportDE In a somewhat odd twist, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jonas Urbig has also been called up, but not for a roster spot. Urbig will be a training goalkeeper per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia ): Julian Nagelsmann will take Jonas Urbig to the World Cup as ‘training goalkeeper’.
