Nebraska announces preseason exhibition game for upcoming season

The Nebraska men's basketball team has announced a preseason exhibition game for the 2026-27 season. The Huskers will play Saint Louis on Friday, Oct. 9.

Nebraska returns two of its top three scorers on a team that won a school-record 28 games and reached the Sweet 16 last season. The group is led by Pryce Sandfort, who was named first-team All-Big Ten after finishing the season with 18. 1 points and 4.

Head coach Fred Hoiberg talked about the importance of exhibition games in preparing for the 2026-27 season. “We want to use our exhibition games to prepare us for the start of the season, and I think the BYU exhibition last season helped our team in many ways,” Hoiberg said. “I think this matchup against Saint Louis will be a similar learning experience because of the challenges they present.
