Diamond sports in Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas have come and gone, with the LHSAA Baseball and Softball playoffs over. Throughout the postseason, athletes across the 337 were hoping to make it to Sulphur and, beyond that, bring a championship back to their respective schools. Who do you think was the top baseball/softball player from the area during the playoffs?
Time to have your voice heard. Thirty-five baseball players and softball players have been placed on the ballot voting for The Daily Advertiser Postseason Player of the Year. Players were selected based on the information available to The Daily Advertiser, such as MaxPreps stats, the Daily Advertiser’s Top 25 lists, All-District lists and coaches' nominations.
Voting will end on May 28, and the winners will be announced the following week at www. theadvertiser. com.
