Steelers' Michael Pittman Jr. admits to secret throwing session with Aaron Rodgers

Yahoo Sports

The secret is out: Aaron Rodgers is now a Pittsburgh Steeler, but he's apparently already thrown passes to new wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.

Aaron Rodgers sent the NFL world into a frenzy when he returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend — but he had apparently already gotten some throwing sessions in with one of his new wideouts, unbeknownst to the media. Michael Pittman Jr. , who claimed back in March he hadn't caught passes with Rodgers before, admitted that a throwing session with the veteran quarterback actually took place before the signing was official.

"I got with him once before he knew if he was coming back or not," Pittman told reporters. "Just throwing a couple passes and just seeing how he felt. " Pittman, who was traded to the Steelers in March, is one of the many new faces on offense Rodgers can look forward to working with more this upcoming season.

Rodgers' chemistry with Pittman appears to be on the right track following their secret throwing session, as the 42-year-old quarterback hooked up with the new Steelers wideout on his first completion of OTAs .
