Sandusky Run for Life returns in June with new youth race
The Sandusky Run for Life returns June 27 with a 5K, 1‑mile run and a new youth category during the Thumb Festival.
Residents will once again have the chance June 27 to lace up their running shoes for the 8th annual Sandusky Run for Life 1 Mile and 5K Run/Walk. The event is organized by Right to Life of Sanilac and will be held on the Diamond Trail during the Sandusky Thumb Festival, according to a community announcement. Races are scheduled to begin at 8 a.
m. , with registration and packet pickup starting at 7 a. m.
under the pavilion on the trail. Youth category added for 2026 A new youth category is being introduced this year for the 1‑mile run or walk. According to the announcement, participants 17 and younger may register for $10, and awards will be presented to the top three boys and girls in that division.
Adult registration for the 5K and 1‑mile events is $25 per participant through May 31, increasing to $30 after that date. Same‑day registration will be available for $35, according to the announcement.
