The 30-year-old has also got a tantalising release clause of just over £20m in his contract - with TEAMtalk now reporting that Liverpool have been sounded out by the Dutchman’s entourage over a deal. The Merseysiders are well-established watchers of Dumfries - who is coming off the back of another Serie A-winning season. Now his team have been reaching out to Premier League clubs over a deal - with Manchester City and Arsenal also named as suitors.
